My Sewing Space, Natalia And Peas (or not!)
What does your special space look like? I was chatting to a friend the other day, about their wish for a bigger sewing space and ive come to the conclusion that no sewing room or craft room will ever be just the right size or just the perfect space . I have moved my sewing room from one room to the next in our house, which drives my ever suffering man crazy, especially when it ended up in our bedroom! But its final location is in the box room which ironically is the smallest room in our house. The reason for this location is purely because I can shut the door on it when it gets really messy, which, if I admit to it, is what it is like most of the time!
Here is Natalia the Ballerina my new Polly, having been asked if I could make a Ballerina I have finally finished her today, there is more about her on Polly Pincushion.
Because I have been spending so much time making Pollies, my planned tutorial for this weekend has been set back until Wednesday. Today I have been making peas and pods and taking photos ready for the tutorial, i also managed to get the pattern printed but i ran out of time when it came to writing the ‘How To Make’ instructions so until Wednesday, here are a couple of completed peas in their pods photos!

Those pea pods and the ballerina are so cute! My sewing space for the past year has shamefully been half of my dining room table. We are one of those families who eats at the kitchen table except when company is coming and then I clear out the sewing/dining table. I recently pared down to just the real essentials and am thinking of making a sewing room in the basement… but as soon as I did that, I got inspired to make a new canvas tote bag. Something about a clean and cleared out space inspires, I guess!
I have to say im a dinning room table user as well, even though i have a sewing room, its the clear space thats more user friendly. The basement sound s like a great place to sew, especially if no body else has an excuse to go down there, you can go sew messy mad!
