like-minded people. ‘Make’  has been set up by Magdalen Tyler- Whittel, it’s an amazing project, non profit-making and solely to get people together who enjoy making things. There is no other venue that I know of  around this area  so ‘Make’ couldnt be more perfect. The craft cafes are held once a month as a meet up and bring your  own project and for those of us that want to learn a new skill there are various courses  such as jewellery making, cake decorating and crochet. The venue is a barn on the edge of Horsham Park which Magdalen ensures is very welcoming with bunting, vintage tablecloths and flowers, with tea and coffee being served in vintage teacups and homemade cakes.

My cakes!

Though I sadly missed the craft cafe last night, I did try my hand at cake decorating a couple of weeks ago, now for someone who would rather be in the garden than cooking, I have to say I had a great evening, made new friends and came home with a very pretty plateful of cakes, two piping bags, cake cases, icing nozzle, icing and lots of instructions all for £15.oo.   So thanks to ‘Make’ and Magdalen for  getting us all together and setting up a great venue.
